Our Founder

Maria Dueñas Lopez was introduced to storytelling as a leadership practice in Marshall Ganz’s Public Narrative course at Harvard Kennedy School. Since then, Maria has witnessed the transformative power it can have on individuals and teams. The following year, Maria continued as a teaching fellow for the Public Narrative course supporting graduate students, across Harvard and MIT, learn and apply the craft. Since then, she has facilitated workshops for a range of organizations, city government initiatives, and electoral campaigns across the US and Latin America. Maria’s work is rooted in values-based communication and guided by a commitment to civic engagement and social change.

Maria is a graduate of Harvard Divinity School, where she earned a Master of Theological Studies and certificate in Religion and Public Life in Organizing. She earned her B.A. in Political Science and certificate in social justice organizing at Indiana University Indianapolis. Maria was raised in Warsaw, Indiana.
